How does the free trial work?+
New organizations get 14 days of the Team plan for free, with no card required. Billing admins receive an email three days before the trial ends and when it ends. If you have not upgraded by then, the organization moves to the free Starter plan automatically; nothing is deleted.
How do we pay?+
Team is billed monthly: active developers plus any additional reviews, invoiced after each month closes. Where card payments are enabled, billing admins upgrade and pay by card from the console, and manage the payment method and invoices in a hosted billing portal; MergeHarbor never sees card details. Annual agreements and invoicing are available through sales.
Who counts as an active developer?+
A person whose pull request received a billable review during the billing month. Each person counts once per month, however many pull requests they open. Reviewers, approvers, console users, and automation accounts such as Dependabot or Renovate are never counted.
What counts as a review?+
One completed review of one pull-request commit. Re-reviewing the same commit is free; a new push to the pull request is a new review, and MergeHarbor reviews only what changed since the last one. Reviews that are skipped, for example documentation-only changes, or that fail are not counted.
How do pooled reviews work?+
On Team, each active developer adds 100 reviews to a shared monthly allowance for the whole organization. Developers who open fewer pull requests leave room for those who open more, and you pay overage only when the organization as a whole uses more than its allowance.
Which models review our pull requests?+
Starter and Team use cost-efficient model routing by default: routine changes are reviewed by fast, economical models, and higher-risk changes, such as authentication, payments, migrations, or large cross-module edits, are escalated to stronger models automatically. Admins can choose a different routing mode in the console, and Enterprise agreements can set model and data-residency requirements.
What happens when we go over the allowance?+
On Team, reviews continue and each additional review is billed at $0.30. Billing admins can set a monthly overage limit in the console; when it is reached, new reviews pause with a clear status check on the pull request until the next month or until the limit is raised. Admins receive email alerts at 80% and 100% of the allowance and of the limit. On Starter, reviews pause when the 50 monthly reviews are used.
When does the billing month start?+
On the first day of each calendar month (UTC). Allowances reset then, and the previous month's statement is finalized and available to download as CSV or JSON.
Can we pay annually or by invoice?+
Yes. Annual agreements, invoicing, and custom payment terms are available on Enterprise and on Team plans above 50 active developers.
Can we self-host MergeHarbor?+
Yes, on the Enterprise plan. MergeHarbor ships as container images with a Helm chart and Terraform for AWS. You can use your own model provider accounts so code never leaves your cloud.
How do I cancel?+
Billing admins can cancel at any time from Settings → Plan & usage. The paid plan continues until the end of the current billing period, the final month's usage is invoiced, and the organization then moves to the free Starter plan. Your repositories, reviews, and settings stay in place.
Can we export our data?+
Yes, at any time. Owners and admins can export the whole organization (repositories, reviews, findings, rules and memory, members, and the audit log) from Settings → Organization as a ZIP of JSON Lines files. The download link is valid for 15 minutes and each export is recorded in the audit log.
